Relentless Advocacy for Medication Access

Marina Moroz-Day, PharmD, BCPA: Advocacy Rooted in Pharmacy Expertise and Compassion

I’m Marina Moroz-Day, PharmD, BCPA—Founder of Health Sense Advocates, pharmacist, and board-certified patient advocate.

My mission is to help individuals and their families break through barriers to medication access—whether they’re facing denials, delays, or coordination failures between doctors, pharmacies, insurers, and treatment facilities. I bring deep knowledge of the healthcare system and 20 years of hands-on experience to help people get the treatments they need, faster.

My journey into advocacy began long before my professional career. As a first-generation immigrant, I started advocating at age 12 for my parents, who didn’t speak English. From helping my mom apply for jobs to translating at medical appointments, I became their voice and their bridge to vital services. That early sense of responsibility lit the fire that still drives me today.

I went on to earn a Bachelor's in Molecular and Cellular Biology and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arizona. Over the years, I’ve educated patients about their medications, developed clinical programs, built drug formularies, and fought for access to the latest therapies—particularly in diabetes care. I’ve worked across multiple sectors of healthcare, but one thread has always remained: fighting for patients.

Everything changed when my husband became seriously ill. Despite my expertise, navigating the system while juggling family and work was exhausting. I pushed relentlessly for answers—and ultimately helped secure a diagnosis and treatment plan. That experience reinforced what I already knew: navigating the healthcare system, especially when it comes to getting the RIGHT treatment at the RIGHT time, is far too difficult. And no one should have to do it alone.

Today, I work with individuals remotely across the country, helping them overcome obstacles like prior authorizations, insurance denials, and high out-of-pocket costs. I coordinate between prescribers, specialty pharmacies, insurers, and treatment facilities to make sure people get the medications or infusions they need—without delay.

Health Sense Advocates was born out of a lifetime of advocacy, fueled by compassion and guided by clinical insight. If you’re stuck in the medication maze, I’m here to help you get unstuck—with clarity, expertise, and fierce support.
